IBANs, or International Bank Account Numbers, are an “international passport number” used to make sure your money travels accurately and efficiently to its destination. IBANs help banks to confirm that accounts exist and account numbers are accurate so they can reduce transfer errors, speed up cross-border payments and make international banking consistent across countries.

Can Andrews Federal issue me an IBAN?
IBANs are issued through Wise, our partner for international transfers. However, if you need assistance with the process of setting up your IBAN, our overseas branch teams can walk you through the process.
Is it safe to share my IBAN with someone?
You can share your IBAN when someone needs to send you money. An IBAN does not allow withdrawals or access to your account. It only directs incoming transfers.
Can I have more than one IBAN?
You can have multiple IBANs from different banks or different countries. If you set up an IBAN through Wise, they may offer you the opportunity to set up more than one depending on the types of accounts you have and the different currencies you use.
