Andrews Federal Credit Union Hosts USO Pack4troops Event To Support Military Service Members
Andrews Federal Credit Union brought together community partners by hosting a USO Pack4Troops event, working with military partners, veterans, and community organizations to pack 1,000 snack bags for military service members. The USO will distribute the snack packages to service members through the Baltimore (BWI) International Airport.
The event was staffed by Andrews Federal employee volunteers, as well as with representatives from Joint Base Andrews units, the Office of Veteran Affairs, Check 6 Foundation, VFW Post 9376, Melwood, the Office of County Executive Aisha Braveboy, Fort Washington Forward, Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office, National Tuskegee Airmen Inc., and WHUR 96.3 Radio Station.
Along with completing the snack packs, participants heard from active-duty service members and veterans about the meaningful impact the USO has had on their lives, providing safe and welcoming spaces, care packages, and meaningful connections during challenging times.
“Andrews Federal was founded with a focus on serving our military communities,” said Kenneth Orgeron, President and Chief Executive Officer for Andrews Federal Credit Union. “While the communities we serve have grown, we remain committed to the wellbeing of our military. Through this collaboration with the USO, we are proud to positively impact service members and to support initiatives that bring comfort, encouragement, and connection to those serving around the world.”
