Fort Washington Celebrations Kick Off This Month
Andrews Federal recently announced the development of a new branch location in Fort Washington, Maryland.
As we move forward with the branch construction, we also want to build something else important - our relationships with our local community. From now until the branch's official opening, we're celebrating community through a wide variety of events meant to bring people together and highlight the "people helping people" culture credit unions are known for.
What Types of Events Will Happen at the Fort Washington Branch?
Our credit union team is planning a wide variety of events, including:
- A Back To School Bash where we'll give away school supplies. This event will take place Saturday, Aug. 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and families are invited to bring out their children and enjoy the day. In addition to school supplies, we'll also provide financial guidance on youth accounts and other family resources to get the school year off to a great start.
- A Grand Opening Community Day where we'll invite non-profit partners, business leaders, and friends and neighbors to come together to celebrate the new location with food, fun and games
How Can I Get Involved?
Each of our celebration events will include opportunities to give back to the local community, to connect with neighbors and to learn about financial resources and tools available through Andrews Federal.

When Do You Expect the Branch to Open?
We are expecting the branch to open in the fourth quarter of 2025, and are actively working now on construction and on getting the location prepared to welcome members and potential members.
We will post updates on our social media accounts (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram) as we get closer to the grand opening community day, and will share details about the community-focused events leading up to the opening.

The new branch's address is 9550 Livingston Road, Ft. Washington, MD 20744. This branch is one of several Andrews Federal Credit Union locations in Prince George's County, Maryland.
