Dear Members,
We have completed another successful quarter and Andrews Federal continues to make a positive impact for our members and our communities.
This summer, we celebrated our credit union’s dedication to the military when Andrews Federal was recognized as the Army Credit Union of the Year by the U.S. Department of the Army for the credit union’s service to USAG Benelux (serving military members in Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg). I am extremely proud of the work our overseas team has done to build strong and committed relationships with the garrison leadership, our military and our community. The team supports the Benelux garrison by providing financial education resources, sponsoring and volunteering at community and morale events, and demonstrating a deep commitment to service during their interactions with members.
One of our credit union’s most dedicated volunteers, Board Member Emeritus Roger Scearce, was inducted into the Defense Credit Union Council Hall of Honor because of his lifetime of dedicated service to our military forces, Andrews Federal Credit Union and the Defense Credit Union Council. Brigadier General Scearce (Retired) has served as a tireless advocate for our credit union. We are grateful for his loyal service, and Andrews Federal is a better, stronger, more robust institution because of his commitment as a Board volunteer.
In addition to serving our military, Andrews Federal remains dedicated to supporting education in our local communities. Throughout our service areas, Andrews Federal supported schools, teachers and students. We were able to provide necessary supplies and resources to classrooms that serve families from Joint Base Andrews, Joint Base Bolling-Anacostia and Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, as well as to several additional schools in communities we serve.
Members, you also played a valuable role in our support for schools. We partnered with DC News Now to host a school supplies drive in our branches. You made it a success, donating enough supplies for us to support nine local schools in the D.C./Maryland/Virginia area, three schools in the New Jersey area and five schools overseas. It is a privilege to support local educators and to lighten the financial load for parents and teachers. We thank you for working with us to provide students the best possible opportunities to succeed.
I have focused today on the ways we serve our military and our communities, but I also want to highlight new products and resources that are making life easier for members. Our team recently made CardSwap and ClickSWITCH available to members through Digital Banking and the Andrews Federal Mobile Banking app. These convenient digital tools enable members to easily move payments, direct deposits, bills and digital subscriptions from other financial institutions over to Andrews Federal.
We continue to look for opportunities to give members more, including through higher rates on Share Certificatesand Money Market Accounts, and we are in the process of building more new account options to reward members and serve their needs.
As your credit union, we continue to seek ways to evolve and better serve members - whether that means introducing new products, enhancing our service, strengthening security protocols, or connecting in the community. One thing that does not change over time is our commitment to supporting you, serving your needs and providing financial resources you can trust.
We appreciate your loyalty and are grateful for your membership.
