If you receive any communications that appears to be from Andrews Federal Credit Union asking for sensitive account information – IT IS A SCAM! ANDREWS FEDERAL CREDIT UNION AND ANDREWS SHARES FOUNDATION SERVE AS PREMIER SPONSORS OF JOINT BASE ANDREWS 2022 AIR AND SPACE EXPO


Andrews Federal Credit Union and the Andrews Shares Foundation recently sponsored the Joint Base Andrews Air and Space Expo. This was the 15th consecutive year for Andrews Federal to serve as the event’s premier sponsor. During each year’s Air and Space Expo, Andrews Federal’s executive team, board volunteers and employees spend the weekend showing their support and appreciation for the military service personnel who make this show of military aviation possible.

This year, the Air and Space Expo was attended by more than 75,000 people and featured elite aerial demonstrations, including a display by the Thunderbirds, the U.S. Air Force’s F-16 demonstration squadron. Attendees also watched The President and First Lady, both of whom wore Air Force jackets in commemoration of the Air Force’s 75th anniversary, depart from Joint Base Andrews on Air Force One.

Alongside the Air Force’s 75th annual celebration, Andrews Federal Credit Union will also celebrate 75 years of service in 2023. The credit union was founded on Joint Base Andrews in 1948. This connection is the foundation of Andrews Federal’s long-standing support of the base where the credit union was founded by a group of just eight members. “We have been part of the Joint Base Andrews military community from the beginning,” said Kenneth Orgeron, President and Chief Executive Officer for Andrews Federal Credit Union. “We are honored to join in this celebration of American strength and innovation and to provide ongoing partnership and support to the base, our military servicemembers and their families.”

In addition to the corporate sponsorship by Andrews Federal Credit Union and the Andrews Shares Foundation, credit union employee volunteers supported the Air Show by working at the credit union’s flight line tent. Employees gave “75th Celebration” t-shirts, drawstring bags, totes and ear plugs to Air and Space Expo attendees, as well as provided activities and entertainment for participants.

“We are proud of the credit union team that represented us so well during the Joint Base Andrews Air and Space Expo,” said Damita Robinson, Chief Operations Officer for Andrews Federal Credit Union. “As we celebrated our military community, our employees, leadership team and board members made it possible. Their willingness to be part of the Joint Base Andrews Air and Space Expo is an extension of the supportive, strong community they build for our members each day.”
