Andrews Federal Launches Its Back to School Drive

The Back to School drive runs July 17 through August 11

Andrews Federal Launches Back to School Supply Drive at DC Area Branch Locations

 

Andrews Federal Credit Union is partnering with DC News Now to provide school supplies and resources that support local students and teachers.

From July 17 to August 11, people can bring school supplies to donate at specific Andrews Federal branch locations (listed below). All supply options are welcomed - bookbags, pencils, paper, crayons, markers and more.
Nearly one in three families in the US can’t afford to buy school supplies. When students are unable to get the supplies they need, they’re at a disadvantage in the classroom. In addition, teachers often end up using their own money to cover the gap. By providing school supplies, we can help both families and teachers ensure our local classrooms have the resources needed to equip students for success.
“At Andrews Federal, we believe education creates a better path for young people to advance and create a positive impact in our communities,” said Damita Robinson, Chief Operating Officer for Andrews Federal Credit Union. “Our Back to School Supply Drive will empower our members, employees and neighbors to support our students so they could thrive at the beginning of a new school year.

Where Can I Donate My School Supplies?

Donated items can be dropped off at any Andrews Federal branch location. Just let our staff know you’re there to drop off supplies, and they’ll make sure your items get included in our supply collection. Participating branches are listed below:
