A Message From Our President/CEO

As we look back on this past year, we are filled with pride over the loyalty of our members.

Dear Members,

The beginning of each new year is a time to look forward and a time to reflect on the accomplishments of the previous year.

As we look back on this past year, we are filled with pride over the loyalty of our members, the dedication of our board and the commitment of our credit union team. We commemorated a landmark year, our 75th year of service, and we saw the fruit of those years as we served our members and communities.

I want to share a story that epitomizes our credit union’s spirit of serving others, meeting needs and thinking innovatively. During a visit to Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, our team noticed the on-base school did not have a library and students had limited access to books. They worked creatively to come up with a program that would instill a love of literacy in these early learners while also fitting within the school’s limited space. The result was a set of sidewalk libraries stocked with books that can be accessed by teachers, students and families.

This project exemplifies the Andrews Federal way: seeing a need, working together to create a solution, then using that solution to support and serve the community.

We do this throughout the year, both in our communities and through the products and services we offer. For example, our team delivered 700 holiday turkeys to neighbors in need, ensuring they were able to enjoy time together without the additional financial burden of purchasing the meal.

In the same way that we are proactive and creative in serving our community, our Andrews Federal team remains dedicated to finding innovative ways to help members reach their financial goals.

We support members and reward their loyalty through our new checking accounts powered by Kasasa. We have also focused on providing affordable lending options, so members can bring their dreams of new homes and vehicles within reach. As an example, we began offering members 90 days of deferred payments on new auto loans during the holidays so they would have an additional resource to offset end-of-year expenses. When it comes to online and mobile access, we continue to create and enhance our resources, so members can feel confident about their finances and can access their information anytime and anywhere.

As we look to the future, Andrews Federal remains focused on supporting our members’ financial wellbeing. Our Board of Directors and executive leadership team are continually scanning the economic horizon and making strategic decisions that will safeguard our members’ and institution’s financial stability for years to come.

Members, you are at the heart of our success. We appreciated the opportunity to celebrate 75 years of service with you this past year.
