Protecting Your Card Information


Andrews Federal is constantly looking for ways to provide safety and soundness to our members. We maintain state of the art technology and undergo annual security assessments to protect your card information. We have a system in place that alerts us to unusual or suspicious activity and we take appropriate measures based on that information.

Help Andrews Federal protect your card information:
There are several steps you can take to help protect your card information:

  1. Always provide us with up-to-date contact information such as address, phone number, etc…so that we may contact you immediately if there is a problem with your account.
  2. Monitor your accounts on a regular basis. Review monthly credit card statements and account statements on a monthly basis. If you notice any unusual or suspicious activity, contact us as soon as possible. In between statements, you can use Online Banking to monitor checking account transactions. Visa Online can be used to view credit card transactions since your last monthly statement.
  3. Provide card information only to merchants you know. Never give your account information to anyone – online, over the phone or in person – unless you have initiated the transaction. A financial institution would never request personal information by email or phone.
  4. Know when your statements should arrive. Your credit card and account statements will arrive around the same time every month. If you have not received your statement in the normal time frame, please contact us to verify the account address.

If you believe that your card or personal identification number has been lost or stolen, please contact us immediately at the telephone numbers listed below. This will limit your liability for any unauthorized transactions that might occur.
